The delay component provides a single cycle degraded loop feedback input to itself. It is best used on single pulse values. These values are multiplied by the delay factor (.95) each cycle. The factor can also be considered a 'decay' rate.
This delay factor can be modified by the user in the component properties dialog box. In some ways this serves as a fairly effective short term fading "memory" of a prior value.
